The property

Interiors are stylish with a palette of warm colours, beautiful fabrics and quality fittings. The front door opens into a hallway with stairs to the first floor and doors to the shower room and quaint living room with kitchen beyond. Accommodation on the first floor is well planned with a good sized double bedroom with sea view from the little window above the bed and a second bedroom, ideal for kids, with bunk beds. Please note Harriet's cottage is a beautiful old cottage and therefore please take care on the steep stairs and original flooring. Outside there’s a petite patio with bistro style table and chairs and you should easily find a parking place on nearby roads or in a public car park. Ground Floor There’s a warmth to Harriet’s Cottage as soon as you enter the hall with stairs ahead and doors to the living area and shower room. Hard floor runs throughout with tiles in the shower room and kitchen and wood in the living area. Kitchen/Living Room Wonderfully laid out to make the most of the space with cosy sitting area and pretty bay window, furnished with a long sofa, chair, occasional tables bookcases and wall mounted TV. The long kitchen is well equipped with a single electric oven with four ring hob and extractor fan, under counter fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, washer dryer and Nespresso machine. Shower Room Located at the bottom of the stairs, this fully tiled stylish shower room has a large corner shower with adjustable hose, WC, wash basin, heated towel rail and window giving natural light. First Floor Carpeted stairs rise and turn to the first-floor landing where both bedrooms are. Please note due to the age of the property the stairs are steep and therefore care should be taken. Master Bedroom A charming room with view of the sea from the window above the bed and of the courtyard at the side. There’s a double bed with bedside tables and lamps and a free standing wardrobe with drawers, shelves and hanging space. Kids Bedroom A cosy room for kids with bunk beds and shelves for their belongings. Outside Harriet’s Cottage is tucked behind 28 South Green, a larger holiday house which can be booked in conjunction with the cottage to sleep 12 guests in total. The cottage has its own courtyard style garden with a fence to give privacy and table and chairs so you can enjoy your morning coffee in the sea air . There’s no allocated parking however you’ll usually find a spot on nearby roads or public car parks. 28 South Green (Ref. 1116915) and Harriet’s Cottage (1116914) Ref. are two neighbouring self-catering cottages sleeping up to 12 guests combined. These stylish properties are perfect for two families or groups of friends who want the convenience of being together with the added luxury of two separate private spaces. 28 South Green offers two king size and two twin zip/link bedrooms sleeping eight guests and Harriet’s Cottage one double and one bunk bed bedroom sleeping four guests. Both properties boast a courtyard style garden with 28 South Green also offering enough seating for all guests to enjoy the sea air or dining outside. Conveniently located in the heart of Southwold, a stones throw from the sandy beaches, they’re an ideal base for a coastal escape to the Suffolk coastline. Southwold is home to a host of independent shops and boutiques, colourful beach huts and the renowned Adnams brewery. There is a selection of excellent pubs including The Lord Nelson and Coasters along with a host of other eateries such as Enzo’s Pizzeria. SOUTHWOLD

Lowestoft 13.4 miles; Ipswich 35.1 miles

Southwold is a seaside town situated along the East Suffolk coast within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and resting between Lowestoft and Ipswich. Southwold is known as the home of Adnams Brewery which was established in the town in 1872 and it also has its own lighthouse, a museum and a picturesque pier which has a selection of colourful beach huts and which plays host to the regular Southwold Model Yacht regatta. The town boasts a number of excellent restaurants and eateries with a particular nod to its seaside location so there is always plenty of seafood and fish on the menu. Southwold has some fantastic independent shops, boutiques, galleries and pubs which are great for a browse and to stock up on essentials for your holiday. Just outside Southwold there are a number of great attractions for the whole family including Africa Alive Zoological Reserve, RSPB Minsmere and Dunwich Museum as well as scenic towns such as Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Leiston and Lowestoft to visit.
