The property
Red Robin, named after the evergreen hedge which surrounds the property, is located at the edge of an arable farm in a rural location surrounded by fields. Guests are welcomed into the lobby with cupboards for coats and boots and doors to the living area, family bathroom and both bedrooms. The dual aspect L shaped living accommodation is great for socialising with a well-equipped kitchen area leading to the dining and living areas. Both bedrooms are tastefully furnished, one with a double bed and luxury bathroom next door; the other with a zip and link king bed giving the option of a twin or double with en-suite shower room.
There’s ample parking adjacent to the house and a ramp, together with wide door frames, makes the property easily accessible for all guests. French doors open from the dining area to the patio where a table and four chairs invite guests to relax and enjoy the sounds of the countryside.
Ground Floor
Hallway
The front door opens into a spacious hallway with wooden floorboards, hooks for coats and a large storage cupboard for muddy boots! A part glazed door opens into the kitchen, with other doors leading to the family bathroom and both bedrooms.
Kitchen/ Dining/Living Room
This open plan, triple aspect, L shaped room is great for socializing and cleverly divided with a tiled floor in the kitchen area and wooden floor running from the dining to the living area.
The modern and light fitted kitchen is well equipped with an integrated dishwasher, full-size fridge, and freezer, free-standing washing machine, electric oven, ceramic hob with extractor fan, microwave, Dualit kettle, and toaster. A window overlooks the patio with fields beyond.
Furnished with a sturdy shaker style table with six chairs, the dining area is conveniently located next to the kitchen area and has French doors opening onto the patio.
Overlooking the entrance, the living area has ample seating with a corner leather sofa stacked with cushions, as well as a coffee table, bookcase stocked with books for you to choose from, TV unit with 40” flat-screen TV, DVD player, Freeview, iPod docking station and rug adding a cosy feel.
Family Bathroom
Off the hallway, conveniently adjacent to the bedroom, this luxury bathroom with a tiled floor has a P shaped bath with power shower over with shower screen plus a hand shower. The washbasin is set into a unit with drawers and demister mirror above with attractive pin lights, WC, heated towel rail, and east-facing window giving natural light.
Bedroom One
A good-sized room furnished with a king-size bed with padded bedhead, bedside drawers with lamps, built-in wardrobe with hanging space, shelving and mirrored doors, little upholstered chair and north-facing window.
Bedroom Two
The zip and link king-size bed can be separated to give twin 2”6 beds or king-size with bedside cabinets, lamps plus large chest of drawers. Windows overlook the patio on one side and road with fields beyond at the back of the cottage.
En-Suite Shower Room
With double walk-in shower with power shower; washbasin set in a unit with storage cupboards under; demister mirror with pin lights (perfect for doing your make-up); heated towel rail and the essential WC, this is a super en-suite.
Outside
Red Robin is located on a farm to the right of the driveway where there is ample parking.
The large sunny southwest facing and private patio, shielded from the country road by a Red Robin hedge, overlooks a field. There are lovely planters with ornamental trees, a rattan style table with chairs and a charcola BBQ which, with French doors opening from the dining area, make this a great place to enjoy alfresco dining. A lockable garden shed is ideal for storing bikes or children's toys.
