The property
The contemporary and bright living area with dining table and kitchen area has large windows onto the patio and provides the perfect place for guests to relax and enjoy each other’s company. Both bedrooms are sumptuous and have en suite bathrooms with the master bathroom featuring a free-standing, roll-top bath and double shower cubicle. There is also off-road parking for two cars.
Kitchen/Living/Dining Room
The door from the patio leads directly into this spacious double aspect, open plan living area with original pine floors, modern column radiators, and large windows overlooking the patio. Doors lead from this room to the pantry, both bedrooms and the rear hall which leads to the cloak/utility room and back door.
Sitting Area - The sitting area has characterful original pine floors, with a rug to add to its warmth, and is tastefully furnished with a two-seater sofa, two large comfy armchairs, side tables with lamps. There is a flat-screen smart TV with Freesat.
Dining/Kitchen Area
The Saarinen table and tulip chairs, reflecting the owner’s Finnish heritage, fit perfectly into this contemporary living space. The kitchen section of this light room is compact but well equipped with a butler’s sink, Smeg fridge/freezer, oven with ceramic hob, a half dishwasher, stainless steel shelving and Dualit toaster and kettle.
Cloakroom/Utility Room
Leading off the kitchen, a convenient rear lobby gives storage for boots and coats adjacent to a cloakroom/utility room with low suite W.C., washing machine, and tumble dryer. Both have tiled floors and there is a back door which leads to the bin storage.
Larder
Leading off the kitchen this spacious larder with cupboards with a slate surface, microwave, hooks, and shelves offers additional storage for your groceries and essential items.
Bedroom One
A step leads from the kitchen into this lovely carpeted double room with king-size bed and large window, dressed with a stylish roman blind, overlooking the patio. There are bedside tables with lamps, a wardrobe.
En-suite Bathroom
A luxurious bathroom with painted wooden floor, roll top bath, fully tiled large shower cubicle with rose and handheld shower; basin with built-in cupboard below; low-level W.C. and large heated towel rail.
Bedroom Two
Again, leading from the kitchen with a step into the carpeted, spacious room with super-king-size zip and link beds which can be twin on request. This room has a window overlooking the drive and garden of Pettistree Grange, however it is unobtrusive. There are bedside tables, a chest of drawers, a wardrobe.
En-suite Bathroom
A contemporary bathroom with pretty tiled floor, shower over the bath, low-level W.C., freestanding basin and heated towel rail.
Outside
There is private parking for two cars at the side of the Fig Cottage and a good-sized secluded patio with planters, four casual chairs and coffee table, conveniently accessed from the living area, with a small lawn overlooked by trees. The owners live at the adjacent Pettistree Grange which does not overlook the holiday cottage.

Woodbridge is a historic riverside market town boasting an outstanding selection of independent shops, restaurants and pubs. The town has been famous for boatbuilding, rope and sail making since the Middle Ages. The working tide mill is a major attraction and a must visit for anyone staying in the area. The River Deben runs alongside the town and is popular for boating, walking and wildlife with wonderful views over to the National Trust site of Sutton Hoo. The town hosts a number of events throughout the year and is a wonderful place to visit.
Note: There are kennels in the vicinity and some noise does travel to Fig Cottage, subject to the wind direction and dogs in residence.
