About the property

Saved from the brink of collapse and restored with great integrity, we’re delighted to introduce you to Tiger Villa, a charming period one bedroom property on the High Street in Aldeburgh.
After making the property structurally sound, it was sympathetically restored to create two period one-bedroom cottages. The renovation project was an exciting journey of discovery, with fire places saved, brick floors uncovered, original joinery preserved and rotten window frames carefully measured and replaced with exacting copies. Inside and out the walls of the house have been lime-washed with natural pigment colours, and linseed oil paints used on the exterior woodwork. This property and it’s sister cottage Hidden Cottage are ideal for couples who enjoy quirky period features mixed with contemporary flair.
Downstairs there’s a spacious living room with a lovely wood burning stove, and a kitchen with handmade units. Upstairs you’ll find a large bedroom with a king size oak bed and a bathroom with a roll-top bath and separate shower.
Ground floor:
The front door leads into a hallway, with a kitchen to the left and the living room to the right.
Living room: This large room has a lovely wood burning stove, painted pine floor boards, sofa and armchairs, rug and a window seat with cushions in the bay window with views up and down the high street. There’s a flat screen TV, DVD player, and Ipod docker.
Kitchen: With hand-made painted wooden kitchen units, a range cooker with a gas hob and electric oven a dishwasher, fridge and microwave.
First floor:
Stairs from the ground floor hallway lead up to the first floor hallway with access to the bedroom and bathroom:
Bedroom: A large bedroom with a hand-made wooden king size bed with a very comfortable mattress. The room has an original sash window, pine floor boards, a chest of drawers, bedside tables and a wardrobe.
Bathroom: There’s a roll top bath, separate shower enclosure, a w.c. and hand basin.
Outside: There’s a small garden with a low wall to the front of the house with benches from which to watch the world go by. On road parking is usually available nearby on the High Street and adjoining side streets.

Situated in the High Street at Aldeburgh, this property is ideally situated if you'd like to be close to the town's popular shops and restaurants. The beach is a two minute walk away. Aldeburgh is also a great base for exploring the surrounding Suffolk countryside.

The accommodation is equipped with gas central heating throughout, wood burning stove, a flat screen TV, DVD player, Ipod docker, gas hob and oven, microwave, slimline dishwasher, and a fridge with freezer compartment. A travel cot and a high chair are available on request.

3. How to pay. When you have filled out your booking form you can choose to pay online by credit or debit card or send a cheque. A 25% deposit is requested at the time of your booking. The balance and a £100 returnable good housekeeping deposit (subject to terms and conditions) are due six weeks before your holiday commences. Please note there is a 1.5% charge for credit card payments. There is no charge for debit card or cheque payments.
