Norfolk self catering farm holiday cottage for 4

About the property

This contemporary barn conversion contains many original features and we think it’s ideal for exploring the beautiful North Norfolk coast.  It’s around 3½ miles from the historic Georgian market town of Holt, and 8 miles from the lovely coastal road that runs along the coast passing wildlife reserves, cliff tops, good pubs and vast empty beaches.  The Green House is heated by an efficient bio-mass boiler using wood pellets for fuel (the heating process is automated, so that you can sit back and relax!).

Downstairs there’s a spacious open plan kitchen/dining/living room, a conservatory, a double bedroom, a study and a bathroom.  The first floor Mezzanine has twin beds.

About the area

This Norfolk self catering accommodation is situated near the historic market town of Holt and around a 15 minute drive from the North Norfolk coastal road which leads West to Holkham, Wells-Next-the-Sea, The Burnhams and Brancaster Staithe, and East to Cley, Salthouse, Sheringham and Cromer. There's a bakers, a butchers and a grocery shop all within walking distance.

Our top five tips:

1. Take a walk along the wide unspoilt open beach at Holkham, following in the footsteps of 'Shakespeare in Love' film star Gwyneth Paltrow, followed by a delicious lunch at The Victoria, close to the beach.

2. Take a boat trip to see the seals basking on the beach at Blakeney Point.

3. Step back in time with a steam train trip on the North Norfolk railway from Holt to Sheringham.

4. Enjoy a stroll around the historic town of Holt, stopping for lunch or an afternoon snack at Byfords cafe and deli.

5. Visit one of the many stately homes in the area, including Blicking Hall and Felbrigg Hall.
