About the property
1 king size, 1 single bedroom, 1 bathroom
A delightful, south facing, small end of terrace cottage just a short stroll from the High Street and beach, tucked away down a short path off Alde Lane.
The cottage is ideal for couples or a family of up to three and has two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the other with a single bed. It’s light and airy with a small, south-facing garden which has been stylishly landscaped with pebbles and ornamental grasses, and incorporates a small decked area with outside table and chairs.
The accommodation
Ground Floor: The front stable door leads into a small hallway giving access to the living room, kitchen/dining room and the stairs.
Living room: This light and airy south facing room has a leather sofa and two leather armchairs, a woodburner-style gas fire and a large sash window with wooden blinds that overlooks the landscaped garden at the front of the cottage. There’s a flat screen TV with built-in DVD player and a selection of DVDs, iPod docking station/CD player, WiFi, telephone, games and books.
Kitchen/Dining Room: Slate floor tiles run throughout the open plan kitchen/dining room. The dining area has a stylish white lacquered table with four matching chairs. The dual aspect windows look out over the garden and deck and are fitted with wooden blinds. Beyond it is the kitchen with appliances that include a Baumatic electric cooker and two-ring gas hob, integral fridge with freezer compartment, integral washing machine and a slimline Smeg dishwasher. Slate floor tiles run throughout the open plan kitchen/dining room.
Bathroom: Beyond the kitchen/dining room is a natural stone tiled family bathroom comprising bath with a fitted overhead shower and additional hand-held shower attachment for use in the bath, a hand basin, W.C. and chrome column radiator/towel rail.
1st floor: Stairs lead from the ground floor hallway to a small landing with doors to both of the bedrooms.
Bedroom 1: The master bedroom has a king size bed, chest of drawers, pair of bed side tables, fitted wardrobe, Roberts radio and curtains to the south-facing window.
Bedroom 2: This room has a single bed, a fitted wardrobe, a chest of drawers and has curtains to the window. There is plenty of space of a travel cot.
Outside: There is a stylish small garden that has a raised decked area with table and chairs and a landscaped area with seaside pebbles and ornamental grasses, and a pretty wisteria climbing up the front of the cottage. There is a right of access over the garden to the cottage next door.
On-road parking is often available close by on Alde Lane. The road is narrow so you may prefer to park your car off-road in the parish church car park just the other side of Victoria road for a contribution.
About the area
The cottage is situated just off Alde Lane, a short stroll away from the High Street and the beach. Aldeburgh is a pretty coastal town with a very popular selection of restaurants, cafes and independent shops.

3. How to pay. When you have filled out your booking form you can choose to pay online by credit or debit card or send a cheque. A 25% deposit is requested at the time of your booking. The balance and a £100 returnable good housekeeping deposit (subject to terms and conditions) are due six weeks before your holiday commences. Please note there is a 1.5% charge for credit card payments. There is no charge for debit card or cheque payments.
