About the property
This large Georgian house has stunning sea views and is just a short walk from Aldeburgh’s excellent shops and restaurants. This property welcomes one well behaved dog but see notes.
Set out on three floors, this delightful high ceilinged holiday house is ideal for families and couples alike: on the groundfloor there’s a large living/dining room, a spacious kitchen, utility room and a cloakroom. The first floor has a second living room with a balcony and uninterrupted views of the fishermen’s huts, the beach and the sea, a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a shower room. On the second floor there’s a bathroom and a master bedroom with more superb sea views. This historic house is furnished with a mixture of antique and modern furniture.
The Accommodation
Ground floor:
The front door leads into a porch and a hallway.
Living/Dining room: A large room has a sofa and armchairs, a flat screen TV with Sky FreeSat and DVD and VHS, and a gas fire. The dining area has a table and chairs.
Kitchen: The spacious kitchen has kitchen cupboards on two walls and a breakfast table with chairs. There’s a Belling Range cooker with five gas rings and two ovens, a dishwasher, microwave, a free-standing fridge freezer and an original 1950s style Belling plate warmer (ideal to keep your plates warm if you are planning a big meal!). The back door leads out to a small patio.
Cloakroom: A handy ground floor room with a w.c. and a hand basin.
Utility room: Here you’ll find a washing machine, a tumble dryer and a hand basin. There is also a further fridge freezer.
First floor:
Living room: This large living room has fantastic views of the sea, the beach and the fishermen’s huts that line the sea front. There are brown leather sofas and stripy curtains and cushions to create a seaside feel. A flat screen TV & Ipod docking station are also provided.
Bedroom 1: A king size bed with bedside tables, a chest of drawers and a wardrobe with a curtain front.
Bedroom 2: A twin bedroom with a bedside table and provision for hanging clothes. This room is reached through the shower room.
Shower room: A large room with a large shower and two hand basins, and access to Bedroom 2.
Cloakroom: With a w.c., next to the shower room.
2nd floor:
Bathroom: There’s a bath with a hand-held shower attachment, hand basin and w.c. This is on a ‘half landing’ between the 1st and 2nd floors.
Bedroom 3: This spacious room with stunning sea views has a king size sleigh bed. It has matching bedside tables, a chest of drawers and a built in wardrobe.
Bedroom 4: A twin bedroom with a built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers and a bedside table.
Outside: There’s a small back patio with a table and chairs and access onto a side street where it is often possible to park on-road. Further on-road parking is usually available in front of the house on Market Cross Place.
About the area
Situated on Aldeburgh sea front , this historic end of terrace town house is ideally located for the beach and Aldeburgh’s high street where you’ll find an excellent selection of restaurants, cafes, pubs and delis. The house is located at the north end of the High Street near the famous Moot Hall and children’s boating pond, between the Wentworth Hotel and the White Lion Hotel.
What's included?
All rental prices include bed linen and towels, heating and electricity plus a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits to help you get your break off to a relaxing start.
The property is equipped with gas central heating, TV, DVD and VHS players, Sky Freeview, gas hob and electric oven, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer. The property has WiFi access but please note there is no telephone support for this. A travel cot and a high chair are available on request.
Please note that the ground floor of this property is furnished in a more traditional style than the rest of the property

Sorry, no smoking or unaccompanied teenagers permitted at the property.
A well behaved dog is welcome downstairs. If you wish to bring a dog it must be mentioned at the time of booking on the online booking form, and is subject to our conditions of booking.

Low occupancy discount: 20% off weekly bookings (7 nights) if only two bedrooms are used. Please contact our office to receive the discount.

3. How to pay. When you have filled out your booking form you can choose to pay online by credit or debit card or send a cheque. A 25% deposit is requested at the time of your booking. The balance and a £100 returnable good housekeeping deposit (subject to terms and conditions) are due six weeks before your holiday commences. Please note there is a 1.5% charge for credit card payments. There is no charge for debit card or cheque payments.
