About the property
Lilla Cottage is an enchanting property in central Woodbridge – it’s handily just moments away from the town’s wide selection of restaurants and cafes, yet quite hidden from the hustle and bustle down a secret footpath just off the market square.
Owned by an artist, this cottage has a calm relaxing atmosphere. Downstairs there’s an open plan living/dining room with a wood burning stove and a separate kitchen. Upstairs you’ll find two bedrooms (a king and a single) and a bathroom. Outside there’s a pretty courtyard garden with a table and chairs and deliciously scented lavender bushes.
The accommodation
Ground floor:
Open living/dining room: The white painted walls and wooden-like flooring (with underfloor heating) give this room a calm atmosphere. There’s a 2-seater sofa, and armchair and a further tub chair to chill out on, along with a coffee table and lots of books to dip into during your stay. There’s a lovely wood-burning stove and a dining table with four chairs, a TV and DVD/CD player.
Kitchen: The small fitted kitchen has a built-in gas hob and electric oven, a small Smeg fridge with a freezer compartment, a slimline Smeg dishwasher, microwave and Dualit toaster and kettle.
First floor:
Stairs lead up from the ground floor living room to a small landing with doors to the two bedrooms and the bathroom.
Bedroom 1: There’s a king size wooden bed, a wardrobe with hanging space and shelves, and bedside tables. There’s a sloping ceiling, carpet, and a high window with views over gardens towards Sutton Hoo.
Bedroom 2: This single carpeted bedroom has shelves and hooks on the backs of the door to hang your clothes. An additional Z-bed is available in this room on request. It is suitable for a child and is supplied with bedding.
Bathroom: A small step leads up to a tiled bathroom with a bath with a shower over it, a w.c. and a hand basin. The bathroom has underfloor heating.
Outside: There’s an ‘L’ shape garden, at one end of the ‘L’ there’s a table and 5 chairs, and a bench at the other to catch the sun at different times of the day. The garden is planted with shrubs including fragrant lavender.
Access to the cottage is about 10 yards down a pedestrian footpath passing the gardens of other cottages. On-road parking can usually be found in nearby side streets.
About the area
Lilla Cottage is an end of terrace holiday cottage situated in the pretty and historic market town of Woodbridge. The town is on the River Deben and has an excellent range of cafes, shops and restaurants all within a short walk of the cottage. The Wild Strawberry Cafe is a must and is just a stone's throw from the cottage on the market square. Woodbridge railway station is approximately 8 minutes walk away.

1. Take a stroll along the River Deben: watch the boats sail by, visit the town's famous Tide Mill and stop at The Waterfront Cafe for a well-earned cup of tea.
2. Explore 'Foodie' Woodbridge - there are some excellent pubs and restaurants recommended in the Welcome File at the cottage and a Deli stocking some of the best of local produce in the area for you to enjoy back at the cottage. Our top recommendations for eating out are The Crown, The Anchor and The Galley - all within a short walk.
3. For children (and adults!) there's a swimming pool, an independent cinema, and a cafe where you can paint ceramics whilst you lunch.
4. Take a drive down the Bawdsey Peninsular to Bawdsey Quay, at the mouth of the River Deben. Sit on the unspoilt small sandy beach and sunbathe or catch the foot and cycle ferry over the river to Felixstowe Ferry.
5. Visit Sutton Hoo, the fascinating historic burial ground of the Anglo-Saxon kings of East Anglia, owned by the National Trust.

A travel cot and a high chair are available.
Restrictions and notes: Sorry, no smoking or unaccompanied teenagers permitted at the property. A well behaved dog is welcome downstairs. If you wish to bring a dog it must be mentioned at the time of booking on the online booking form, and is subject to our conditions of booking.

3. How to pay. When you have filled out your booking form you can choose to pay online by credit or debit card or send a cheque. A 25% deposit is requested at the time of your booking. The balance and a £100 returnable good housekeeping deposit (subject to terms and conditions) are due six weeks before your holiday commences. Please note there is a 1.5% charge for credit card payments. There is no charge for debit card or cheque payments.
