About the property
Set in the heart of the Suffolk countryside yet not far from Ipswich, This chic holiday cottage has a private setting in the grounds of a beautiful Georgian farmhouse with a swimming pool. This lovely property has a stylish interior and a stunning wood burning stove. If you enjoy country walking, you’ll love it here as there are walks directly from the house across open fields.
There’s a large open plan living/kitchen/dining room with a wonderful wood burning stove, two bedrooms (one double, one twin) and a bathroom. Outside there’s swimming pool, a patio and lawned garden and plenty of off-road parking.
The accommodation:
The front door leads into a large open plan living/kitchen dining room with a lovely oak herringbone floor with space to hang up your coats.
Kitchen/dining/living room: This large room is neatly divided into three areas:
Living area: The focal point of the room is a cosy wood-burning stove, and large picture windows looking over fields, an orchard and the patio garden. There’s a large corner leather sofa, an antique armchair, a further built-in bench with cushions and a flat screen TV with Freeview channels and a DVD player.
Dining area: There’s a large white table and six chairs, ideal for enjoying long lingering meals at.
Kitchen area: Appliances include an electric hob and oven, a fridge with a freezer compartment, and a washing machine.
A corridor leads from the open plan area to the two bedrooms and bathroom:
Bedroom 1: A double bedroom with a wooden bed, chest of drawers, an antique oak linen cupboard with hanging space and shelves and natural coir carpet.
Bedroom 2: A large twin bedroom with a bed at either end of the room, a chest of drawers, and natural coir carpet.
Bathroom: There’s a bath, a W.C., a hand basin and a heated towel rail.
Outside: There’s a patio garden with a table and chairs, and a section of lawned garden. There’s an outdoor swimming pool which is available for your use between the hours of 10am and 12 noon daily, from May to September. Off-road parking is available for several cars.
About the area
This lovely self-catering holiday cottage is situated in the Suffolk countryside about 5 miles west of Ipswich, where you’ll find a good range of shops and restaurants. It’s ideally placed to exploring both east and west Suffolk, with Bury St Edmunds, Sudbury, Long Melford, Woodbridge, Aldeburgh and Southwold all within driving distance for day trips.
What's included?
All prices include 100% cotton bed linen, towels, heating and electricity, plus a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits to help you get your break off to a relaxing start.
This link-detached property is equipped with oil-fired central heating and a wood burning stove in the living room (some logs and kindling are provided to get you started). Appliances and services include a flat screen TV, DVD player, WiFi broadband access, an electric hob and oven, washing machine, and a fridge with freezer compartment. Please note that there isn’t a dishwasher.
The outdoor swimming pool is available for your use during the hours of 10am and 12 noon daily, from May to September. The house has wooden flooring in the open plan living room and coir carpeting in the bedrooms. A travel cot and high chair are available from the property owners on request at the time of booking.

2. Make a provisional booking by clicking on your arrival date, then click on your departure date. You will then be prompted to fill out a booking form. Only dates that are underlined can be selected as arrival and departure dates. For enquiries about other dates please email or call us.
3. How to pay. When you have filled out your booking form you can choose to pay online by credit or debit card or send a cheque. A 25% deposit is requested at the time of your booking. The balance and a £100 returnable good housekeeping deposit (subject to terms and conditions) are due six weeks before your holiday commences. Please note there is a 1.5% charge for credit card payments. There is no charge for debit card or cheque payments.
