Joyce “Believe me I don't like to complain but.”
The cleaners need to do a lot better than they are doing. The outside area needs to be better looked after. We had a washing machine but no washing line. The dishwasher is not fit for purpose dishes come out worse than when they went in. The shower needs to be replaced dirty and not fit for purpose. And generally the kitchen needs to be better supplied all what is there is bits and bobs. Also a ant and ladybug presence. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're really pleased to hear you enjoyed the beds, the bath, and the peaceful location. I just wanted to let you know that the washing line was available but had been tucked away after the previous guests. The shower has now been replaced, and the homeowner is also looking into the dishwasher, as we agree it should be working properly. We take cleanliness very seriously, and I have shared your comments with our cleaning team to ensure standards are improved. The outside area will also be better maintained moving forward. We appreciate your point about the kitchen supplies and are working to provide a better-stocked and more consistent setup. We are also addressing the issue with ants and ladybugs. I'm very sorry these issues affected your stay — your feedback is truly valuable and will help us to make improvements. We hope to have the chance to welcome you back in the future to see the difference. Property Owner

About the location
WESTLETON
Saxmundham 6 miles; Southwold 9 miles; Aldeburgh 15 miles.
Westleton is an idyllic village near the Suffolk coast, nestled between Southwold and Aldeburg and offers all the attributes you could hope for in a Suffolk village, with a village green complete with pond and ducks. The village is easily accessible from the local train station at Darsham approximately two miles away. The village has a store, a bookshop where you can also enjoy a tea or coffee whilst browsing, an old fashioned garage, as well as two pubs, The White Horse Inn and The Westleton Crown, one of Suffolk’s best traditional inns where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate held their first wedding anniversary. Every August, Westleton hosts the infamous Barrel Rolling Fair where contestants have to roll barrels down the Village Green using a pole, and the men have to roll the barrel back up the hill too. Barrels are supplied and all are welcome to join in! The local Emmerdale Farm Shop and Butchery as well as a tea shop is approximately a mile away. The area is a haven for nature lovers with Westleton Heath National Nature Reserve, Dunwich Forest, Dunwich Beach with its famous fish and chip shop located on the beach, and the RSPB Minsmere, all close by. The town of Saxmundham, 6 miles away, is located on the River Fromus, in the heart of Suffolk’s Heritage Coast and is well serviced with independent shops, supermarkets and a train station, as well as art galleries, a weekly market and a farmers’ market.
