About the owners of Best of Suffolk
Best of Suffolk is owned and run by Alex and Naomi Tarry who have a passion for Suffolk - the villages, the countryside, the food, the way of life! But most of all we have a passion for providing stylish self catering holiday accommodation in Suffolk, whether we own it ourselves or market it for other people.
We know how important it is to you to have good self catering holiday accommodation and if we wouldn't be happy to stay in it ourselves, then you won't find it here on our website.
Alex Tarry:
Alex grew up in Suffolk, before meeting Naomi at university where they embarked on their property careers buying houses to let to fellow students. On graduation Alex joined the marketing department of NatWest bank, where he went on to launch their online banking and premium telephone banking services before running their biggest ever marketing campaign to return the bank to its leading position in the student marketplace in 1997.
Alex was then recruited by BT to a senior marketing role within their banking team, before taking a number of senior sales roles, which eventually brought him back to Suffolk in 2001. Alex has also found time to complete over 30 property developments, including Lime Tree Farm, The Workshop and Sandpiper Cottage Outside work Alex enjoys classic cars, Adnams and spending time with Naomi.
Naomi Tarry:
Before running Best of Suffolk, Naomi enjoyed a career in PR and Government. She particularly enjoyed organising Tony Blair’s Essex press conference during the Foot and Mouth Crisis whilst working as Senior Press Officer for the Government; and working with David Attenborough to promote the BBC One TV series The Life of Mammals when working at the BBC for over six years.
She has also spent several years working in the Private Offices of Government Ministers, including as Assistant Private Secretary to the Education Minister Estelle Morris, spending many fascinating days in the House of Commons. When she’s not working she loves spending time walking along the Suffolk Coast with Alex and their Jack Russell ‘Jessie’, and exploring less-known parts of beautiful Suffolk.
